Starting to look like Christmas around here...finally

After a long weekend of hard work putting up decorations it is finally starting to feel a little more like Christmas around here. We usually try to get our Christmas decorations up right after Thanksgiving, however that didn't happen this year. We got a little behind because we usually start by pulling out the Christmas tree first and then going from there. Well, this year, as the holidays grew closer we realized that we did not have a tree because the one we had fell apart last year and we had to get rid of it.

Earlier this week we found a tree. Now we have all the decorations up! The tree is beautiful with all the lights and the years of memories that cover it in ornaments. Traditional Christmas decorations fill the house and hundreds of lights light up the yard. aahhh it is a wonderful.

Now all we need is the hot cocoa! :)

Your house looks great! That tree has so many lights!! Did it come pre-lit. I still haven't gotten around to getting ours up yet. I was too exhausted yesterday after my class and then today we started our Christmas shopping. So maybe next weekend?? I started thinking that I may go with my plan last weekend and not put up a tree! I have lots of decorations up already out so I still feel the Christmas spirit. I don't know though after seeing your pretty tree, it makes me want mine up too!! I don't know, we will see!! Love you!!

Yes, it is a pre-lit tree. oh it was SO nice not having to wrap the lights around the tree this year. After a lot of going here and there shopping and price matching trees last week we finally bought it at Costco.

I actaully thought about not putting a tree up this year, too. My thought was that we could get it a whole lot less after Christmas. But the kids really kept after us day after day to get one. Hopefully it will last a long time. Our other one lasted us about 10 years. Can't complain it is just hard shelling out that much money at once, specialy when we still have gifts to buy. oh well.

How fun and festive! The decorations look great! We have a pre-lit tree, and it's incredible. I loved not having to put up lights, it made the whole process more pleasant!
